A warm greetings to all of you. We are on the threshold of an academic year which is unique by many aspects just as the previous two years were. The previous two years were great teachers. We were made to accept our vulnerability, dependence on others vincibility and diminutiveness.

There were times when an individual, irrespective of her status or profession, faced a sense of total happiness. The pandemic years also gave us plenty of opportunities to rise above our pettiness, to raise oneself to our real status: a conscious human being. Many of us may have failed to make use of such opportunities for self growth. Yet another academic year has come along promising to provide plenty of such opportunities. There are going to be challenges, opportunities and unprecedented situations to tackle. Our modern scientific education could not prevent a major war from breaking out even in the 21st century. Education is supposed to be a liberating force but instead we are getting more and more ghettoized creating more identities instead of dissolving old identities based on religion, class communities or nationalities.
